older and wiser...and mobile!

Beau & Brock's first birthday is fast approaching! Cannot believe it's already been a year...almost. Beau is walking and Brock is crawling fast! It's hard to keep up with them and we have had to baby proof...double time! Beau has eight teeth already, four on top and four on bottom. Brock has his two front teeth. They are good babies. They go to bed by 7:00pm and aren't up again until 9:00am, with two daytime naps. Keeping them on a schedule has made all the difference. I love my little buddies and can hardly wait till their party!!

4 months old

Man, it's hard to find the time to blog! Here are a few new photos from our photo shoot with Mommy. Brock and Beau are now sleeping through the night (and have been for a while now), rolling over, about to try cereal for the first time, and smiling and laughing at everything I say! Never knew I was so funny. :)

We've arrived!

The big day has finally come! Beau and Brock have arrived...at 38 weeks! Big boys for sure.

shower pics!!

The shower felt a little like my wedding day...a day I'll never forget! Thank you to all the friends and family that came to join in the fun. Stephen was even there parking cars and greeting guest.

nursery in progress...

Just a few pics from the boys' nursery. It's still a work in progress. Walls are painted, curtains are hung, and furniture is in it's place. Waiting on some frames and glider to be delivered. Still need to wash everything and hang the wall letters. Beau seems to be the wiggliest and most awake of the two, so I think I'll make his bed the one closest to the door. I look so forward to rocking my babies in this room!

more contractions

At 30 weeks, less than two weeks after our last hospital visit, we were back with more contractions. The doctor on call ran some tests and assured us that all is well with the boys and me. On the flip side, we got to hear Brock and Beau's heartbeat for 3 hours! They sound like the most beautiful symphony to me. And, with all my false alarms, I know exactly where to go when the real time comes.

just dreaming...

I'm dreaming of the day Brock and Beau will be taking a ride in their Radio Flyer red wagon wearing denim overalls and cowboy boots. Can hardly wait!!

contractions and getting fatter!!

The babies that is...are getting fatter!! My weight has surprisingly stayed about the same for the past two weeks. Brock weighs 2 lbs. 6 oz. and Beau weighs 2 lbs. 15 oz. This is a view of what's going on inside of me right now. This is a twin pregnancy at 28 weeks. It's hard to believe that my babies fit inside such a small space. As far as contractions, I was having mild ones and went to the hospital on Saturday for monitoring. My doctor happened to be on call and ordered me on bedrest!?! I'm dealing with it as best I can. I'd rather be working, but understand that my womb is the safest place for my little guys right now. My hope is that all this rests will keep them safe and sound for another 8-10 more weeks.
